The Marquis' entrance from Hell's Courtesan! This was a scene I originally planned to have in chapter three of Danse Macabre, where Vol returns to confront the mask seller from the first chapter~ but it didn't fit in with the flow of the story, so I kept it for his intro to the Hell's Courtesan series reprinted in Marquis:Inferno.
i cant wait to get reading this stuff! great job!
ReplyDeleteOh, yeah! This is just beautiful work, the art and the storytelling are just spot on....I got a question: did the lay out for these pages come pretty easy or did it take some work to get the flow just right?
ReplyDeleteThis was a great scene, probably one of my favorites...but I have to say that it reminded me of that scene from E.T. when he was hiding in the stuffed animals. :)
ReplyDeletewow - amazing. This is the first time I've got to lay eyes on some of the pages for the Marquis - I got sept. 9th inked in blood on my calendar!
ReplyDeleteThanks~ that scene went pretty straight forward from the layouts to the finished page. Pretty much what I first scribbled out to break down the page, if anything I might have changed a couple angles when it came to penciling it out.
